Some of these painters include Agha Sadeq, Mirza Baba Naghāshbāshi, Sadr al-Din Shāyesteh, and Mir Mansur. The museum also features stone inscriptions and engravings depicting scenes from the Shahnameh (Book of Kings). The museum’s collection provides a comprehensive overview of the artistic and cultural heritage of Shiraz, allowing visitors to better understand the city’s historical importance in the region.

Apart from the artifacts housed in the Pars Museum, the architecture of the Qajar-era mansion itself is considered a remarkable attraction with significant historical value. In Bagh-e Nazar, you can also see other structures such as sculptures and beautiful bridges. Bagh-e Nazar showcases the traditional Persian garden design, characterized by symmetry, flowing water features, and meticulously manicured flora. The garden is adorned with vibrant flowers, towering cypress trees, and fragrant orange blossoms, creating a serene and captivating atmosphere. The architectural elements within the garden, including the elegant pavilions, intricately designed tile work, and decorative archways, are a testament to the exquisite craftsmanship of the Qajar period.

It’s worth mentioning that the tomb of Karim Khan Zand, one of the most important figures in Iranian history, is also located in Bagh-e Nazar, Shiraz. Bagh-e Nazar, the Qajar-era Mansion in Shiraz

The octagonal building or Qajar-era mansion in this garden, known as the “Kolah-Farangi” mansion, was constructed by the order of Karim Khan Zand. It is a two-story building. During the Zand dynasty, this mansion was used as a place to host important foreign guests, such as ambassadors from other countries. However, today, this mansion has been repurposed and is known as the Pars Museum. It houses many ancient and artistic treasures of Bagh-e Nazar. The height of this structure is approximately 15 meters and is built on a 1-meter and 30-centimeter platform in the garden. Although many parts of this mansion were demolished during the Qajar era by the order of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar, Iranian artists and painters were able to restore its original architecture years later. The Pars Museum offers a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the Qajar and Zand-era. The mansion’s interior is adorned with lavish furnishings, ornate chandeliers, and intricate tilework, giving visitors a sense of the grandeur and elegance of the time. Exploring the different rooms and halls of the museum allows visitors to step back in time and imagine the lives of the elite.
