The history of Eiffel Tower

The tower was built to celebrate the hundredth annual of the French revolution that took place in 1789. The famous Alexandre Gustave Eiffel’s company with two of its architectures Maurice Koechlin and Emile Nouguier is the designer and main contractor of this amazing landmark.

The design was started in 1883 and the construction job began four years later. The construction was done by some advanced tools and of course the Eiffel’s safety precautions. With a workforce of 300 on-site employees, there was just one person who died during the building of the Eiffel Tower.

During the construction, there were different protests about building the tower. Both from people who did not believe in the possibility of a tower with that much of height being built and also from those who were not a fan of the design. Finally, the job was done and inaugurated in 1889 and it is fair to say that everyone was in love with the new icon of the country.

The Eiffel tower since then has seen quite a lot, from two world wars to various lovely occasions, and it is always there, in the heart of Paris, opening its arms for young and old, man and woman, all alike.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2443″ img_size=”800*500″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
